Nov. 8, 2017

In true South Texas fashion, on November 8th, the temperature reached into the high 80’s. That did not stop anyone from celebrating the official kick off of the “Holiday Season!” The 38th Tamalada celebration went into full party mode with music being played by a D.J. and great food being served to over 1,000 attendees. Tamales, rice, beans along with pan de polvo cookies and empanadas being served for a sweet treat between 11:45 to 1:00 P.M. Soft drinks and bottled water that had Sierra Title “Koozies” on them were also provided. Throughout the event, great gifts were presented to attendees, such as Sierra Title T-Shirts. These gifts were given out to those attendees whose names were pulled out of a container.

Attendees such as Judges, City and County Officials, Realtors, Lenders and Bankers and staff members came from cities located throughout Hidalgo County to enjoy the food, fun and companionship of our management, staff and other attendees.

Our Sierra ladies were dressed in beautiful black shirts that had colorful embroidery of beautiful peacocks on the front of the shirts. The guys wore red colored Sierra Title polo shirts. Large white tents were set up in the parking lot. The Sierra Title of Hidalgo County, Inc. staff is responsible each year to set up all of the decorations, under those tents, which include large hanging piñata’s, table decorations of vases filled with brightly colored flowers and statues of folkloric dancers that were made of dried tamale husks that are colored with bright colored paint. Management and employees greeted the attendees while they served the meal to all of our friends. This special event gives the Sierra family a chance to show our appreciation for the Real Estate Community’s continued support throughout the year.
